How We Started “The Vanguard Mask”
When COVID-19 hit the USA, it took everyone by surprise and panic started to rise. By March 9th, 2020 it was officially declared a global pandemic by The World Health Organization. As people were desperate for supplies, we found ourselves with a mask shortage and thousands of people being affected by this tragedy in a variety of ways.
Our Responsibility
Government officials called out to manufacturers for help creating masks. ARI JOGIEL, a clothing designer, developer and manufacturer in Downtown Los Angeles took it to heart and spent sleepless nights researching, designing, sourcing, testing and perfecting the optimal mask. A few weeks later, “The Vanguard Mask” was created.
While creating “The Vanguard Mask”, Ari thought of every possible way to make the mask as comfortable, breathable and fashionable as possible. Using antimicrobial fabric and a built-in filter for ultimate protection, the masks are machine washable, have two straps for a snug fit, and are available in six different colors.
Every stitch in our mask tells a story of dedication, solidarity, and care. After Ari had “The Vanguard Mask” in his hands he thought of those who needed it the most, our hero front line workers. Ari decided that for every face mask purchased, one will be donated one to support service workers, keeping them safe while they risk their lives to keep the world up and running.

ABOUT ARI. Ari Jogiel is a Mexican immigrant who came to this country in pursuit of “The American Dream”, the opposite of #StayingHome. We need to find ways to overcome this National Crisis, we cannot just sit back and watch it spread. The Vanguard masks are one of many ways this company intends to help the local community.
